Email report  August, 2005 Vorapoj Assanuvong, '87, wrote to say he has left his position with The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand and is now working in the Corporate Communications Department at the Central Retail Corporation - the top retailer in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
City of Long Beach Website, 2005 Curtis Tani has recently been named Director of Technology Services for the City of Long Beach.  Mr. Tani had been Acting-Director during the 13 months prior to his new appointment, and has been with the City for 14 consecutive years.  During his tenure with the City, Mr. Tani has been a manager in the Technology Services Department, office of the City Manager, and Office of the City Auditor.

Jim Glover, ’85, co-founder and senior strategist with The Idea Group of Santa Fe, LLC, shared the stage with New Mexico’s Gov. Bill Richardson recently to unveil the new strategic marketing plan for Raton, New Mexico. Glover and his partners developed the plan to attract and build a firearms industry in Raton. Gov. Richardson publicly praised the plan as a smart initiative for this rural New Mexico community.

Elaine Greenberg Barnett, ’86, reports she had third child, Joshua, May 2004, who joins sisters Sarah, 6, and Hannah, 3. The Barnett Family currently lives near Princeton, New Jersey and owns three bicycle stores. Three kids, three tuitions, three stores!

Darren and Sandy (Harkness) Van Soye, both ’86, and IT managers at Experian in Costa Mesa, recently took 4.5 months off work to take their two girls (10 and 12) on an educational around-the-world trip. “We home-schooled our children and went to the following countries (in order): England, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, India, Australia, Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia and France.”
