Graduation Day

It was June 14, 1986. A bright sunny afternoon. At 2:00 p.m. we assembled in Crawford Hall on campus at UC Irvine. It was a proud day for our families and friends as we received the prize for which we had "suffered" for two long years...our Master of Business Administration diplomas! Do you remember who was there? Who cheered you on? Who did you sit beside? Or it is just a blur?

We were welcomed by Newton Margulies, Dean of the school and Organizational Behavior guru. After some silly student remarks, our keynote speaker was Ray Watson, Regent's Professor and former CEO of both the Irvine Company and the Walt Disney Company. Presentation of the Candidates was handled by the ever-present Carlton Scott (is it possible we only had him for one class....it seems like more!) The reception was held immediately afterwards in the Crawford Hall Plaza and the great time was had by all!
